Shakespeare Project of Chicago Presents 'Macbeth'

Spring Production, 'All Shook Up'

This musical comedy, inspired by the music of Elvis Presley,® is a tale of romance, mistaken identity and the true power of rock n’ roll. 'All Shook Up' uses Elvis’s songs as a backdrop to help tell the story of a small Midwestern town that is down on its luck, until a motorcycle-driving roustabout brings music back into their lives. With arrangements that include a Gospel version of “Devil in Disguise” and a mash-up of “Hound Dog” and “Teddy Bear,” audiences of all ages will be able to connect and enjoy the show.

Performances: March 6-8 and March 13-15

Friday/Saturday at 7:30 pm & Sunday at 2:00 pm

Where: The Auditorium of the Community Recreation Center, 3000 Glenview Rd., Wilmette.

'Some Luck at the Movies' with Mike Smith

Sunday, March 29, 2:00 pm 

Film historian and independent filmmaker Mike Smith presents an installment of his Mike at the Movies Series with a focus on farm-related films. From F. W. Murnau's 'City Girl' to Terrence Malick's 'Days of Heaven', explore how these films make up a unique American cinematic tapestry. This program, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, is part of One Book, Everybody Reads, this year featuring Jane Smiley's 'Some Luck'.           

The Wilmette Theatre is the premiere multi-arts and performance center anchoring the downtown business district by providing vibrant entertainment, education and enrichment for the community.
