Commercial Waste Franchise

In the Fall of 2008 the Village executed a Commercial Waste Franchise agreement with Veolia Environmental Services.  Under the franchise, Veolia is the exclusive solid waste and recycling provider for all commerical businesses in the Village.

Based on rate information collected from businesses in 2008, the Village is pleased to report that over 90% of the businesses will receive a rate reduction with an average savings to businesses of at least 35%.  Other benefits include predictable annual cost escalators, free basic recycling services, and service performance guarantees. In addition to these direct benefits, the community will benefit from the environmental benefits of fewer refuse trucks on Village streets.
