Community Relations Commission
The purpose of the Community Relations Commission is to:
- To encourage understanding and respect between and among all residents of Wilmette, regardless of age economic and educational levels, sex race, religion, and ethnic background.
- To acknowledge the value of diversity within our community and to assure that Wilmette is open to all persons regardless of age, economic and educational level, sex, race, religion, and ethnic background.
- To assist all residents of Wilmette in realizing their rights under law, regardless of age, economic and educational level, sex, race, religion, and ethnic background.
- To promote the amicable settlement of disputes between and among all residents of Wilmette.
- To provide an equal opportunity to all Wilmette residents to grow, participate in and share in our economic, educational, recreational, political and social activities.
The Community Relations Commission meets six times per year as needed.
