Annual Inspection Program

The Fire Prevention Bureau is responsible for the annual inspection of all commercial propeties, multi-family buildings, schools, churches, daycare centers and nursing homes located within the Village.  The Bureau adheres to the 2000 Life Safety Code and the 2000 International Fire Code for code enforcement.

These annual inspections may be conducted by the Assistant to the Fire Chief, or by shift personnel assigned to one of the fire department's truck, engine, or ambulance companies.  Personnel assigned to conduct life-safety inspections are trained to the Office of the State Fire Marshal standards, and are a valuable resource to business owners and employees to help enhance their occupancy's fire safety practices.

For more information, or to address any specific questions regarding an annual inspection, please contact the Assistant to the Fire Chief.
