Wilmette is up to the Challenge!

Wilmette is participating in the ComEd Energy Challenge along with twelve other communities for a prize of $100,000. The goal is reduce the Village’s energy use and you can help the Village win.

The Village has committed itself to decreasing its energy use and to the reduction of gas emissions. To win this Challenge the Village needs its residents to pledge to reduce their own energy use too. Some of our ComEd incentive programs include: refrigerator recycling, air conditioner efficiency tune-ups and light bulb replacement. By participating in these programs you will not only help the Village compete in the Challenge and reach its energy goals, but you will also be helping our earth and saving money.
