Financial Information/Documents
The Village Budget is adopted by the Village Board annually and is the official financial plan for the Village’s operating departments. Financial transactions of the Village are reported in individual funds – the General Fund is the operating fund of the Village and accounts for all operating departments’ revenues and expenses. The budget document also contains information on existing debt service and provides detailed personnel and salary figures.
The Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (2003-2008) presents the Village's audited financial position and activity presented in conformance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
The Treasurer's Report (2003-2008) is prepared by the Village's Finance Director and shows the monies received and expenses incurred during the preceding fiscal year, including individual employee salaries.

Village Board Meetings
The Village Board meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month. Agendas, packets that accompany the agendas, and
minutes are posted on the Village website. Streaming live video and recorded video of all Village Board meetings are also posted.

Lobbying
The Village Board and Village Manager's Office closely monitor legislation at the local, state and federal levels to stay abreast of issues that may affect the community. The Village President is the official spokesperson of the Village in all political and legislative affairs. The Village of Wilmette is a dues-paying member of several associations that may conduct legislative advocacy initiatives at the state and federal levels. These associations include the
Northwest Municipal Conference,
Illinois Municipal League and
Pension Fairness for Illinois Communities Coalition.
