Voter Registration
To be eligible to vote in the Gubernatorial Primary Election, residents must be registered by end of day Tuesday, January 5, 2010. Residents who are not already registered or have moved or changed their name, may register to vote at the Village Hall, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm and Wednesdays from 7:30 am to 2:00 pm.
Early Voting
Residents who wish to vote early may do so at sites selected by the Cook County Clerk. The Early Voting site selected for Wilmette is
Centennial Park, 2300 Old Glenview Road. Early Voting will be held
January 11 -28, 2010,
Monday – Saturday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. State law requires early voters to display valid identification such as a current driver’s license, state-issued ID card or another government-issued ID with a photograph. Voters who cannot vote at one of the County’s sites can still request an absentee ballot by mail from the Cook County Clerk.
Students who are registered to vote may sign up for the Cook County Clerk’s Student Absentee Ballot Program. The application can be sent to the school address or home address for the parents to forward.
