Environmental Health Services

The Village Sanitarian conducts food service sanitation inspections for all restaurants, temporary food concessions, day care centers, schools, nursing homes, grocery stores, and private social and country clubs in the Village of Wilmette on a quarterly basis.  In addition, the Sanitarian addresses a variety of environmental concerns throughout the Village.  Environmental health is the discipline of preventing illness by taking a proactive approach to correcting problems in the community which have the potential of posing a health risk.
