Memorial Day Parade - Monday, May 27th
The Village of Wilmette and Huerter Post #46 of the American Legion will host a Memorial Day parade on Monday, May 27th. The parade will begin at 10:30 am at Lake Avenue and Ridge Road, proceed east to Park Avenue, south to Wilmette Avenue and conclude at Village Hall, 1200 Wilmette Avenue.

Urgent Flood Related Information
FEMA has announced that as a result of the April 18th storm, Cook County has been declared a federal disaster area and funding for impacted residents has been made available. Click below for more information.
The Village has released a flood survey to assess the performance of the sewer system and help plan for future improvements.

The deadline to place 2013 vehicle stickers on cars was April 15th. If you have not purchased a vehicle sticker please do so right away. On May 16th the price of the stickers will double.

CTA Construction Activity Notice
As part of the Red Line South Reconstruction project, the CTA will rebuild tracks along the south Red Line, from Cermak-Chinatown to 95th/Dan Ryan. CTA will use its Linden Rail Vehicle Storage Yard to support rail operations and maintain rail cars during the project.

The Village of Wilmette’s electric aggregation program has been extremely successful in providing Wilmette residents and business owners with reduced electricity costs in its first year. Wilmette, along with the other members of the Lakeshore Power Alliance, were able to lock in rates approximately 17% lower than ComEd’s prices for a one-year period beginning June 1, 2013 to May 31, 2014.
