Comcast Expanded Basic Cable Service Complete Digital Transition - August 24
Aug 18, 10
Comcast began converting Expanded Basic cable channels 24-75 into digital format on August 3rd. By August 24, 2010, all Expanded Basic Channels (26-72) will be transmitted into digital only format and customers subscribing to a package that includes the Expanded Basic Service channel lineup will need to have either a digital cable box, digital adapter or CableCard for each television set with service.
Digital adapters will show channels 24-75. Digital cable boxes will provide all these channels, in addition to new On Demand, music channels, HD channels, and an on-screen guide. Both include remote controls.
Comcast is now providing one digital cable box and up to two digital adapters at no additional cost. Customers can obtain this equipment during a technician visit, by visiting a Comcast service center, or calling 866-594-1234.
