Police Department : Research and Development

Director of Research and Development: The Director of Research and Development is a full time Police Officer whose primary functions include:

• Department Accreditation Manager
• Training Director
• Maintenance and support of internal computer systems
• Automated police record information manager
• Mobile computer system manager
• Assistance in the development of short term and long range agency plans
• Research and preparation of budgetary recommendations
• Liaison with other criminal justice planning agencies
• Development, maintenance and distribution of operational procedures and policy guidelines

This position also serves as the coordinator for the publishing of the Department's Annual Report.
