Silent Partner Alert SystemThe Wilmette Police Department is announcing their participation in a new public safety broadcast system aimed at providing residents and local businesses with up to date information on any public safety issue/incident via e-mail, text pager, cell phone e-mail and PDA e-mail devices. The Silent Partner Alert System will send all registered subscribers need-to-know information based on recent events affecting their block, neighborhood, business, or the Village of Wilmette as a whole, immediately.
To participate in the program, residents and businesses will log in and subscribe to this free on-line service by selecting their neighborhood and the information they want to receive. It’s a simple process which takes only minutes to complete.
To Register, log on to http://silentpartneralert.com and select Click to register for your FREE ALERTS!!, located in the top menu area. Complete the first three (3) steps indicating your name and e-mail address. Then, select your state (Illinois) and your department (Wilmette Police). Next, designate your location in town:
Finally, select the types of alerts you want to be notified about, which affect your neighborhood and or registered business. You have the option to select all or only a few. Some examples of the current available options are: missing person(s), wanted person(s), crime trends, lost & found, and property crimes, just to name a few.
Agree to the terms and conditions and your registration is complete!
Upon completing registration with the Silent Partner Alert System, you will receive confirmation of your participation in the program along with your subscriber number. This number will appear on every alert you receive and will be needed for updating your alerts profile. In addition, a confirmation message will be sent to your email address.
The Wilmette Police Department is excited to offer this program to its residents and businesses. This system will enable important need-to-know information to be disseminated quickly throughout the community. It is our goal to provide security by dispensing up-to date information in a convenient manner.
