The Vehicle Maintenance division is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all Village owned vehicles, with the exception of Fire Department vehicles. This includes approximately 85 Public Works vehicles, 23 Police vehicles and 16 general-purpose vehicles from other departments. The Vehicle Maintenance division is staffed by 5 full-time employees.
In addition to the maintenance and repairs of vehicles, this division maintains 60 pieces of portable equipment, prepares equipment for seasonal programs such as leaf collection and snow plowing, determines specifications and writes orders for new equipment. The division also installs accessories such as emergency lights and radios on Village vehicles, and fully equips all newly acquired police vehicles.
