Thank you to the Village Trustees and community members who joined us for the Board meeting on Tuesday, March 10. The Village Board approved two major items at last night’s meeting:
1.) The Board unanimously approved (7-0) construction contracts for the first phase of the Neighborhood Storage Project. The Board also approved final plans, including agreements with the Wilmette Park District for use of their property, as well as the Wilmette School District 39 for property easements. The project is now ready to move forward and will break ground in April at Community Playfield. Watch the stormwater discussion and vote.
2.) The Board approved (5-2) Optima’s proposed development at 1210 Central Ave. after a public comment period, testimony from the developer and Village staff and Board discussion of the public benefit of the project.
