The State of Illinois has published guidelines specifying which businesses are allowed to open to the public in Phase 3 of the state’s reopening plan. The guidelines are also specific to each industry type. For example retail, personal care services, restaurants, and health and fitness centers each have their own specific guidelines explaining how they will be permitted to operate.
Please be sure to read the entire guideline document specific to your business type. A link to the State’s page where you can find these guidelines is provided below. Wilmette is a part of the northeast region, which is set to enter Phase 3 on Friday, May 29.
The Village will be following the State of Illinois regulations. To date, no additional restrictions are planned to be placed on Wilmette businesses as the result of entering Phase 3. Please note, as always outdoor seating for restaurants will need Village approval if they wish to add outdoor seating or expand previously approved outdoor seating located on public property. If you are a business owner and have questions about the transition to Phase 3, please contact Lucas Sivertsen at email@example.com.
