Notice of Filing Information – Candidates for Wilmette Village Board

The Consolidated Election will be held Tuesday, April 6, 2021.

At the April 6, 2021 Consolidated Election, the Village of Wilmette will have four Village Board offices on the ballot:

  • Village President (4 year term)
  • Village Trustee (4 year term)
  • Village Trustee (4 year term)
  • Village Trustee (4 year term)

Petitions for candidacy for these offices may be filed with the Village Clerk at the Wilmette Village Hall, 1200 Wilmette Avenue starting at 8:30 a.m. on December 14, 2020, and ending at 5:00 p.m. on December 21, 2020. 

The hours for filing petitions for candidacy with the Village Clerk are as follows:

  • Monday, December 14, 2020 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, December 15, 2020 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, December 16, 2020 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, December 17, 2020 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Friday, December 18, 2020 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Monday, December 21, 2020 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The number of ballots cast in the April 2, 2019 Consolidated General Election was 3,788.

The Illinois State Board of Elections has prepared the Candidate’s Guide for 2021, to provide information for candidates seeking public office.  It provides information on the proper completion and filing of nomination papers and lists the qualifications required for candidates seeking specific offices.
