Snow Removal Update – January 31 – 10am

Snow Removal Update

7 to 10 inches of snow have fallen in the Village with another 2 to 3 inches expected today. Public Works crews have been working since 5:00pm on Saturday night to salt and clear roadways, they will work continuously throughout the weekend. Plowing main (arterial) streets are the priority followed by side streets and cul-de-sacs. Crews have made initial passes on side streets and will return to them once all of the main streets are sufficiently cleared. Alley services are now underway but the majority of crews remain focused on main and side streets so we ask for your patience. School walking routes will be cleared by Monday and residential sidewalks will not be cleared until the coming week; we encourage residents to help by clearing their walks. Please use caution if you must drive in icy and snowy conditions.

Please Help Shovel Your Sidewalks

The Village’s Public Works Department plows residential sidewalks after 4-inches of snow accumulation. ¬†This typically occurs within 48-72 hours after the storm has ended. For smaller events or during extended storms, residents are asked to please be good neighbors and shovel the public sidewalks as part of routine snow maintenance.¬† Thank you for helping the Village keep our sidewalks safe.
