Refuse & Recycling Billing Collection – Waste Management Assuming Advanced Disposal Billing

Waste Management acquired Advanced Disposal in October 2020 and over the last year been transitioning collection services in Wilmette. This has included using Waste Management trucks to service the community and issuing new Waste Management toters. The most recent transition effort includes a changeover in billing for customers.

Starting at the beginning of August, residents paying for additional refuse services (such as an extra toter or second weekly collection) and commercial customers have started to receive notifications from Waste Management about account changeovers. We want to assure you that these requests are legitimate and the online request will look like this. In addition, Waste Management has provided a helpful invoice overview. For residential customers without additional services, you will continue to be billed for collection services by the Village on your water bill.
