2023 Consolidated Election Information

The Consolidated Election will be held Tuesday, April 4, 2023. At the Consolidated Election, the Village of Wilmette will have three Village Board offices on the ballot:

  • Village Trustee (4 year term)
  • Village Trustee (4 year term)
  • Village Trustee (4 year term)

Petitions for candidacy for these offices may be filed with the Village Clerk at the Wilmette Village Hall, 1200 Wilmette Avenue starting at 8:00 a.m. on December 12, 2022, and ending at 5:00 p.m. on December 19, 2022. The hours for filing petitions for candidacy with the Village Clerk are as follows:

  • Monday, December 12, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, December 13, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, December 14, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, December 15, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Friday, December 16, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Monday, December 19, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The number of ballots cast in the April 6, 2021 Consolidated General Election was 5,430. The Illinois State Board of Elections has prepared the Candidate’s Guide for 2023 to provide information for candidates seeking public office. It provides information on the proper completion and filing of nomination papers and lists the qualifications required for candidates seeking specific offices. The Candidate’s Guide for 2023 is available through the Illinois State Board of Elections in Chicago (312-814-6440) or through the agency’s website: www.elections.il.gov
