Yard waste and compost collection starts Monday, April 3 and goes through the last full week in November; both are collected on the same day as your refuse and recycling. Yard waste materials must be placed in a biodegradable brown paper bag (32-gal. Maximum), in properly tied bundles, or in a yard waste toter with yard waste stickers affixed. Food scraps like fruits, vegetables, eggshells and coffee grounds can all be composted. To participate in composting, you must have a yard waste cart and yard waste sticker(s) must be affixed to the lid of your cart for each collection.
