Union Pacific will begin an overnight tie replacement project from Highland Park to Wilmette beginning Monday, August 14. To lessen impacts on the current train schedule as well as the communities along the line, work will occur between 7:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. Sunday through Friday until mid-September along the line. Residents who live nearest the train tracks will experience increased noise levels, including occasional train horns, during work periods. To submit a noise complaint, click here. 

The exact dates that work will take place in Wilmette is not currently known, but the Village will continue to share information in eNews and on social media as we receive it from the Union Pacific.
