Game of Gnomes – A Family-Friendly Scavenger Hunt
November 20 through December 24
Join in on this family-friendly scavenger hunt in downtown Wilmette. Scout storefront windows for Gnome stickers, write the name of that business on the game card, and submit the completed card for a chance to win a Shop Wilmette gift card! A new winner will be picked each week in December. Game cards can be found here or at The Wild Child Toy Shop (1114 Central Ave.)
Wilmette Holiday Open House – A Sip & Shop Event
Thursday, November 30 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Grab your friends and head out on the town as we kick off the holidays with the popular annual Sip and Shop event. Pop into your favorite shops and local businesses in Downtown Wilmette to see the debut of holiday gifts and winter merchandise. Enjoy refreshments and special promotions and make a night of it by dining at one of our many fantastic Wilmette restaurants.
Holiday Happenings in Wilmette – A Day of Family Fun
Saturday, December 2 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Come out for a day of family-friendly holiday fun, shopping, and dining. Plaza del Lago kicks off the day with a Special Character breakfast at Convito featuring visits from your favorite Frozen characters. The day is full of local shopping and dining promotions, visits with Santa, a giant snow globe, carolers, a scavenger hunt, performances, and a showing of Elf at The Wilmette Theatre. Cap off the evening on the Village Green for free hot chocolate and the annual tree lighting.
Chanukah Celebration featuring Wilmette Junior High School Choir
Sunday, December 10 at 11:30 a.m., Village Green (1200 Wilmette Ave.)
Join Chabad of Wilmette for a Chanukah celebration. The event will include the lighting of the menorah and feature performances by the Wilmette Junior High School Choir. The celebration will also include the towering juggler, Judah Maccabee and Dreidelman, prizes and giveaways, and holiday donuts.
