2018 Alley Reconstruction Program

The 2018 Alley Reconstruction Program repairs failed alleys.

2018 Road Program

The 2018 Road Program resurfaces Village streets that are in poor to fair condition. Curb and gutter and sidewalks are repaired as required and the street is resurfaced in asphalt.

2018 Brick Street Renovation & Repair Program

The 2018 Brick Street Renovation & Repair Program relays one block of brick streets each year. The 2018 program location is Catalpa from Oakwood to Prairie.

2018 Sewer Repair and Valve Program

The 2018 Sewer Repair and Valve Repair Program completes point repairs,  which is excavating and replacing portions of the sewer system, including addressing defective manholes and sewer service connections as necessary. The Valve Program is for the installation of new valves and the replacement of existing valves on the water distribution system.

2018 Sidewalk and Curb Program

This is an annual maintenance program to replace damaged sections of sidewalk throughout the Village. The Curb Program is an annual maintenance program to replace non-functional, hazardous, broken and missing curbs throughout the Village.

Sewer Lining Program – Phase II

The Sewer Lining Program uses cured-in-place pipe (CIPP), a trenchless technology, to rehabilitate sewers by eliminating infiltration, structural defects, and root intrusion. Click here for more information and locations of sewer lining.

2018 Sewer Cleaning & Televising

This is an annual maintenance program, which involves cleaning and televising approximately 10% of the Villages 146+ miles of sewers.  Routine cleaning is a vital component of maintaining the existing sewer system to its maximum effectiveness. Sewer televising identifies badly deteriorated pipe and sewer pipe that have obstructions caused by mineral deposits or tree root intrusions.

Skokie Boulevard & Hibbard Road Intersection Improvements

This multi-jurisdiction improvement project includes the north leg of Hibbard Road and both legs of Skokie Boulevard which are under the jurisdiction of the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) and the south leg of Hibbard Road which is under Cook County Department of Transportation and Highways (CCDOTH) jurisdiction. The project limits on Hibbard Road are approximately 430 feet south and north of Skokie Boulevard, and 500 feet west and east of Hibbard Road on Skokie Boulevard. The project consists of widening the intersection to provide a left turn channelization along all four legs of the intersection, replacement/modernization of traffic signals to accommodate the proposed channelization, interconnection of the traffic signals with the Lake Avenue and Wilmette Avenue signals along Skokie Boulevard, additional pedestrian signals, updated intersection lighting per IDOT standards and completion of sidewalk to fill in gaps.

The project will be funded through federal Surface Transportation Program, State, County and Village funding.
