Officer Engels has misplaced the key to the Gross Point jail cell! Step out with your family this summer to learn a bit of local history and enjoy a fun scavenger hunt around Wilmette looking for Officer Engels’s missing key.  The hunt can be completed at your own pace anytime from June 17th through August 4th. Kids aged 13 and younger who are accompanied by an adult are eligible to participate in this free program organized by the Wilmette Historical Museum and the Wilmette/Kenilworth Chamber of Commerce.  Families can pick up a scavenger hunt game board and directions during regular business hours at the Wilmette Historical Museum or the Youth Services Department in the Wilmette Public Library.  The board and directions can also be downloaded from the Museum website at www.wilmettehistory.org.
