The Wilmette Historical Museum will host this special event to mark the close of the current photography exhibit “Dancing for My Tribe: Potawatomi Tradition in Modern Times.” Photographer Sharon Hoogstraten, a descendant of the Ouilmette family after whom the village of Wilmette is named, will talk about her work and modern-day Potawatomi traditions. She will be joined by Sarah Stegner, the James Beard award-winning chef and co-owner of Prairie Grass Café in Northbrook, who will serve up some Native American-inspired small plates and chat about her culinary approach. Tickets for this fun event are $10 and can be purchased until Monday, October 1st either online or by calling the Museum.
