Plan Review

All plans for new construction, commercial building renovation, and residential structures involving low voltage fire alarms or sprinkler systems should first be submitted to the Community Development Department at the Village Hall.  Once received by Community Development, the plans will be forwarded to the Fire Prevention Bureau for review.

Plans may be reviewed by Fire Prevention Bureau personnel or by the Bureau’s outside consultant to ensure the project meets current building and fire and life safety codes.  Bureau personnel will conduct site visits to proper installation of all required systems.  Upon completion of a project, the Fire Prevention Bureau will conduct a final inspection of the property and test all fire systems.
