The Village of Wilmette prohibits discrimination in real estate transactions. Section 8-771.(8) of the Village Code requires that notice of the fair housing ordinance be provided when real property is offered to the public for sale or lease. Cook County Residential Tenant Landlord Ordinance
The Cook County Board unanimously passed the Cook County Residential Tenant Landlord Ordinance (RTLO) on January 28, 2021 providing guidelines and protections to renters and landlords in Cook County. Click here for more information on the ordinance.
