Wilmette uses the CodeRED® Emergency Notification System, which allows Village officials to telephone the entire community or a targeted area in the event of an emergency that requires immediate action. CodeRED® is capable of dialing 60,000 phone numbers per hour and delivering a recorded message to a live person or answering machine.
CodeRED® is used only for emergency purposes, such as Boil Order Notifications, Missing Persons, Evacuation Notices, Gas Leaks, Flood or Snow Emergency and other emergency incidents where rapid and accurate notification is essential for public safety.
Listed Wilmette telephone numbers have been downloaded into the database. Residents or business owners with unlisted numbers, cell phones, or Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) telephone service should register. Click on the link below to register and to add a phone to the notification list.
