The 90 minute performance location is Regina Dominican High School, 701 Locust Road, Wilmette.  Tickets are $15, and are available for purchase @ SNAP, or at the performance.

Start your holiday season with a performance of this joyous ballet. Find out what awaits Clara and her Nutcracker Prince as they duel the Mouse King and embark on a journey with the Sugar Plum Fairy, through the Land of Sweets. The dancers at SNAP will leave you with cheerful memories that will last a lifetime.

This is SNAP’s seventh year presenting ‘The Nutcracker’ to the Wilmette and surrounding communities. Pamela Sue Fox, owner and director of SNAP, couldn’t be more thrilled for this year’s shows. “This year, we have double cast the roles, as we had many dancers appropriate for each role. Each performance will be different and exciting. This year’s Sugarplum is performed by Kara Philoon of Wilmette, a SNAP and New Trier senior, who will be dancing in college, so we are very proud and excited for her to have this opportunity!”

Samantha Kirr of Wilmette, age 11, is dancing the role of Clara for the first time this year, in Saturday’s 5 pm performance. Kirr stated that rehearsals have been going really well. “I really enjoy the collaboration — everyday you have a stronger bond with the people you are working with…”, and the dancers will continue to work until opening night. Kirr has been dreaming about being Clara since she was 5 years old. “I am very excited and kind of nervous for the performances as well, but it will be so much fun!”  Samantha is sharing the role with Annaliese Iskowich of Wilmette, who performs on Sunday, December 8.

Tickets for both performances can be purchased via SNAP or at the performance, and general admission is $15. SNAP is located at 414 Linden Ave in Wilmette and their business contact is 847-251-7627.
